- About Aloha Kai
Welcome to Aloha Kai (love for the ocean), a beautiful and newly-renovated oceanfront condo on Kauai's famous Coconut Coast.
“Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. The kitchen was fully equipped for all our needs, the beds and bedding were so comfortable, and the views from the lanai were spectacular. While we were gone on various adventures most days, the hot tub and pool were enjoyed on our 'days off'. It was very handy having a dishwasher and washer/dryer available (including the soap/detergent). Everything was just perfect, and I look forward to finding an open spot on your calendar in the future. With warmest aloha,”
Experience breathtaking ocean views, epic sunrises and moonlight over the ocean while enjoying the gentle trade winds from the comfort of your private lanai. It's the perfect place for spotting humpback whales during whale season, November through May. Centrally located on the east side of the island to allow easy adventures in every direction, but beware: You might not want to leave this slice of paradise!

Within walking distance and short driving distance are some wonderful restaurants. Here are some of our favorites:
- Kauai Pasta - Salads & vegetarian selections, too.
- JO2 - Acclaimed Kauai chef Jean-Marie Josselin's new restaurant
- Tiki Tacos - Delicious tacos starting at $6; handmade corn tortillas, two doors down from JO2
“Incredibly equipped, I really didn't have to bring supplies that I did bring. Loved the Vitamix- great pina coladas and breakfast smoothies. And pans for every recipe. Loved the towels which were super fluffy. Really, there is nothing negative to say.. wait. There is. My husband complained that the ocean was unrelenting and loud. Hahaha. Loved this unit. Will stay in it again if I get back to Kapaa.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Holly's place. Beautiful view over the ocean, convenient location near shops and centrally located to explore the island. Would definitely stay here again if we are to return to Kauai.”
Our second stay in this condo. Great location and comfortable accommodations. We always enjoy our time here. Looking forward to returning March 2018.

Wow... just wow!
This place was fantastic. I have rented numerous times on VRBO and this place by far was the best place I have ever stayed. The location is perfect. Kauai is a small island so being centrally located is key to make trips to Hanalei or to Waimea. Even the location in Kapaa is great because across the street is Safeway, ABC store and some restaurants. Nice to go for a short walk to get some food if needed. The view is perfect. Sitting on the balcony of the third floor with an unobscured view of the ocean and the sunrise. Grab some Estate Blend roast from Kauai Coffee Co. and just enjoy yourself.
The condo is fully stocked. If you want to ask “Do you have….” chances are the place has it. The kitchen is fully stocked (better than my kitchen). And whoever your housekeeper is, is worth their weight in gold. I’m a bit OCD in cleanliness but this place was immaculate and to open the kitchen drawers and see organization…. I felt guilty using items and not putting it away properly. Loved how it had beach towels, beach toys and a great cooler to pack our lunch and take with us. The place is completely stocked with just about everything you will need.
I was a little concerned of not having air condition. Going in mid-June had me worried. But open all the windows and let the breeze go through and it is comfortable. We slept in the loft and used only a sheet over our bodies and was fine. The kids were in the bottom bedroom. That bedroom was noticeably cooler but like I mentioned, the trade winds going through made it fine. Having no air condition was actually a nice change of pace because our bodies acclimated to the weather quickly and didn’t miss it.
The grounds were nice as well. A decent size pool in the middle and a hot tub as well. A few BBQs in case you want to cook your own food. Overall really liked the place and would love to stay there again if I can. Thanks!

Well appointed property in a good location!
Stayed 5 nights in this great condo in late May. The best features were the kitchen and master bedroom. The kitchen more than met our needs for cooking, with sharp knives and plenty of pots and pans in good condition. The master bedroom is a loft upstairs, and was very comfortable. No A/C, but didn't need it with the constant sea breeze. The condo is also in a great location. 10 min walk to Safeway, and equidistant to Hanalei and Waimea (45 min - 1 hr drives). Not far from a cute downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants (10 min walk). And a long paved beachside walkway starts very close to the property. Basically, this is a great base of operations for exploring all of Kauai!
Awesome beachfront location with a great view. Very clean and spacious unit - Teo, May 2018
We loved our stay at your place. So many small touches made it feel like home. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Kauai.
Had a great time. The condominium was well equipped and in a great location. View was amazing. Great place.
Mahalo Joanne and Holly,
The Aloha Kai Condo was a perfect home base for our Kauai Vacation; well-equipped with everything we needed and within striking range of all the activities we wanted to enjoy. Our favorites were: Scuba diving at Koloa Landing, Surfing in Hanalei Bay, Snorkeling Anini and Poipu Beaches, Napali Coast Sail, Waimea Canyon Trail Hike, Not to mention the gorgeous sunrises off the balcony complete with breaching humpbacks!! Wonderful holiday!

Aloha & Mahalo,
Dear Joanne and Holly, We have enjoyed our stay in your condominium, an excellent location and one of the most thoroughly appointed that we have stayed at. You have covered everything we need! Very nicely refurbished and presented. Thanks again,

Lovely, quiet, comfortable.
We had a lovely time in this spacious and comfortable condo. The kitchen is well-stocked (and I like to cook) complete with a full spice rack! The washer and dryer made life easy and the location was quiet - except for the sound of the sea right out our window. Clean and comfortable beds. We spent a little time at the end of each day in the hot tub, always meeting delightful people and having good conversations. Great grilling area - very clean - as well. We would definitely use this unit again!

Perfect In Every Way
“Myself, my wife, her parents and our 1 year old daughter and it worked out GREAT! The owner of the condo has really though of everything from sandwich bags to a Vitamix blender. Its very comfortable and the view is stunning. We were there 9 days and we never closed the slider and were able to hear the waves crashing through the whole condo! The sunrises are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and nearby is a great walking/biking path that runs along the water for 4-5 miles. Also there is a pool and spa which were never too busy in the complex. We will definitely stay here again!!!”
Wonderful Oasis in Kauai
“Excellent lodgings. Comfortable and filled with all the things you need for vacation. Quiet complex. Families with children seemed to be having a good time at the pool. Beautiful view of the ocean. Falling asleep and waking up to the ocean waves was relaxing. This is a nice location to see the whole island. 1.5 hours to the east shore and Waimea Canyon, 1 hour to the farthest point on the North Shore, Haena beach. NOTE: as stated clearly in their description this is not on a swimming beach. The plus side is this makes your unit less sandy. There is a nice lawn with plenty of lawn chairs and side tables. Of course with this unit, you can see the view from your own lanai.
Very responsive property management. They were a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Not only were the kitchen and bathrooms fully equipped and a really nice washer/dryer in the unit, they provided plenty of nice beach towels and a basket of local fun things. There were also many local books available, including ukulele songs and how to speak Hawaiian, and information on restaurants and hiking on the island. When a window screen was blown off, someone was out to fix it right away. I mentioned that to make our stay even more spectacular, we would have liked to have a cooler to use. A cooler was on our doorstep the next morning!
Our favorite things to do: Caffe Coco was our favorite restaurant, also a new restaurant J.O.2 (really good, but very expensive) located next to Tiki Taco's (large tacos, filled with scrumptious ingredients, @ $6 each). JO JO's shave ice was the best, but the closest one to the unit is at the Hee Fat General Store which is also good and a fun place to shop. If you can find Kauai Roastery in Waimea on a Monday or Tuesday, get your coffee here. It is not sold in the local stores. Kauai Coffee Company in Kalaheo is also fun - you get to taste a lot of different kinds of coffee, but the coffee is just not as good.
I love Kauai Cookies and there is an Outlet in Hanapepe!!! I don't think the prices are a whole lot cheaper than buying them in the stores, but they have a much larger selection of everything they make. Go on a Friday afternoon and then spend the evening in downtown Hanapepe where they set up a street fair. While you are in Hanapepe, make sure to get some Taro Chips at the Taro Chip Factory at the edge of town. If this condo is available for your vacation - get it now!”
Wonderful Oasis in Kauai
“Wow! What an unbelievable place. It felt like home the second we walked through the door and kicked our shoes off; from the basket of goodies, to the fully equipped kitchen, to the beach cooler and blankets, the books, DVDs, and comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms. (The beds are sooo comfy as you're lulled to sleep by the sea.) Then the best part, when you take your coffee and granola out to the table on the lanai (patio/deck) and, from your unobstructed third-floor perch, watch the wild east coast of Kauai wash up onto the reef mere yards away. Remember to get up early to watch the sunrise, which will convince you that you're in heaven, and that there is a God.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of either direction you want to go. You're also walking distance to some great food, and it's a two-minute drive to a number of grocery stores and shopping areas. Kapaa Shores is at the start of a completely awesome oceanside bike path that goes north 6 or 7 miles, and there's a bike shop right next door with great rental rates on cruisers. Yeah, this condo home was perfect. We wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else when we come back. If we won the lottery and could afford the St. Regis, we'd still stay here, in Kapaa Shores Aloha Kai unit 307. No question. Two more tips: Tune in to 107.9 FM (Kauai's visitor radio) and read Kauai Stories (on the bookshelf). Both are awesome. They'll get your head in the right place if it isn't already!”
