- About Aloha Kai
Welcome to Aloha Kai (love for the ocean), a beautiful and newly-renovated oceanfront condo on Kauai's famous Coconut Coast.
This place was perfect - gorgeous views, great amenities. We loved the location & the accessibility to the Island. Thank you for an amazing stay!”
Jeff & Kelli - Chicago
Experience breathtaking ocean views, epic sunrises and moonlight over the ocean while enjoying the gentle trade winds from the comfort of your private lanai. It's the perfect place for spotting humpback whales during whale season, November through May. Centrally located on the east side of the island to allow easy adventures in every direction, but beware: You might not want to leave this slice of paradise!
This wonderfully appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1,000 square foot condominium is on the top (third) floor of the building and is two-story, with the master bed and bath upstairs, allowing for more privacy. Vaulted ceilings throughout give a feeling of breezy spaciousness. Beautiful floors, primarily porcelain tile and hardwood; granite countertops in the kitchen and baths.
The master bedroom (upstairs) has a king-size bed; the second bedroom has a queen-size bed. High quality linens, and both comforters are Allergy-Wise Down-Alternative. Plush shower and beach towels are also provided for your comfort.
You will enjoy our fully-equipped kitchen with microwave, refrigerator/freezer, range/oven, dishwasher, Vitamix, toaster, coffee maker, coffee bean and spice grinder, mini-food processor, rice-maker, popcorn maker, utensils, pots and pans, and dishes.
VERY NICE IN SO MANY WAYS!
Short and sweet... this is a succinct review. This great property was perfect for two couples. Very comfortable and well stocked. Excellent washer & dryer made packing for our Kaua'i trip a breeze. Location was perfect for excursions to either side of the island. As a potential VRBO owner myself, I was impressed with the small touches that made this perfect for our needs. See other reviews for all the details! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks!”

There is also a full size clothes washer and dryer and WIFI so you can stay as connected as you want to be.
Pool, hot tub, and BBQ Grills on resort property.
Within walking distance and short driving distance are some wonderful restaurants. Here are some of our favorites:
- Kauai Pasta - Salads & vegetarian selections, too.
- JO2 - Acclaimed Kauai chef Jean-Marie Josselin's new restaurant
- Tiki Tacos - Delicious tacos starting at $6; handmade corn tortillas, two doors down from JO2
“We can't thoroughly express how all the little touches in the Aloha Kai condo made this feel like home away from home for us. It's hard to imagine a more perfect place to stay. Thank you for making our first visit to Kauai extra special by sharing this space of yours that contains a true feel of aloha & warmth.”

Lovely, quiet, comfortable.
We had a lovely time in this spacious and comfortable condo. The kitchen is well-stocked (and I like to cook) complete with a full spice rack! The washer and dryer made life easy and the location was quiet - except for the sound of the sea right out our window. Clean and comfortable beds. We spent a little time at the end of each day in the hot tub, always meeting delightful people and having good conversations. Great grilling area - very clean - as well. We would definitely use this unit again!

Perfect In Every Way
“Myself, my wife, her parents and our 1 year old daughter and it worked out GREAT! The owner of the condo has really though of everything from sandwich bags to a Vitamix blender. Its very comfortable and the view is stunning. We were there 9 days and we never closed the slider and were able to hear the waves crashing through the whole condo! The sunrises are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and nearby is a great walking/biking path that runs along the water for 4-5 miles. Also there is a pool and spa which were never too busy in the complex. We will definitely stay here again!!!”
Wonderful Oasis in Kauai
“Excellent lodgings. Comfortable and filled with all the things you need for vacation. Quiet complex. Families with children seemed to be having a good time at the pool. Beautiful view of the ocean. Falling asleep and waking up to the ocean waves was relaxing. This is a nice location to see the whole island. 1.5 hours to the east shore and Waimea Canyon, 1 hour to the farthest point on the North Shore, Haena beach. NOTE: as stated clearly in their description this is not on a swimming beach. The plus side is this makes your unit less sandy. There is a nice lawn with plenty of lawn chairs and side tables. Of course with this unit, you can see the view from your own lanai.
Very responsive property management. They were a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Not only were the kitchen and bathrooms fully equipped and a really nice washer/dryer in the unit, they provided plenty of nice beach towels and a basket of local fun things. There were also many local books available, including ukulele songs and how to speak Hawaiian, and information on restaurants and hiking on the island. When a window screen was blown off, someone was out to fix it right away. I mentioned that to make our stay even more spectacular, we would have liked to have a cooler to use. A cooler was on our doorstep the next morning!
Our favorite things to do: Caffe Coco was our favorite restaurant, also a new restaurant J.O.2 (really good, but very expensive) located next to Tiki Taco's (large tacos, filled with scrumptious ingredients, @ $6 each). JO JO's shave ice was the best, but the closest one to the unit is at the Hee Fat General Store which is also good and a fun place to shop. If you can find Kauai Roastery in Waimea on a Monday or Tuesday, get your coffee here. It is not sold in the local stores. Kauai Coffee Company in Kalaheo is also fun - you get to taste a lot of different kinds of coffee, but the coffee is just not as good.
I love Kauai Cookies and there is an Outlet in Hanapepe!!! I don't think the prices are a whole lot cheaper than buying them in the stores, but they have a much larger selection of everything they make. Go on a Friday afternoon and then spend the evening in downtown Hanapepe where they set up a street fair. While you are in Hanapepe, make sure to get some Taro Chips at the Taro Chip Factory at the edge of town. If this condo is available for your vacation - get it now!”
Wonderful Oasis in Kauai
“Wow! What an unbelievable place. It felt like home the second we walked through the door and kicked our shoes off; from the basket of goodies, to the fully equipped kitchen, to the beach cooler and blankets, the books, DVDs, and comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms. (The beds are sooo comfy as you're lulled to sleep by the sea.) Then the best part, when you take your coffee and granola out to the table on the lanai (patio/deck) and, from your unobstructed third-floor perch, watch the wild east coast of Kauai wash up onto the reef mere yards away. Remember to get up early to watch the sunrise, which will convince you that you're in heaven, and that there is a God.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of either direction you want to go. You're also walking distance to some great food, and it's a two-minute drive to a number of grocery stores and shopping areas. Kapaa Shores is at the start of a completely awesome oceanside bike path that goes north 6 or 7 miles, and there's a bike shop right next door with great rental rates on cruisers. Yeah, this condo home was perfect. We wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else when we come back. If we won the lottery and could afford the St. Regis, we'd still stay here, in Kapaa Shores Aloha Kai unit 307. No question. Two more tips: Tune in to 107.9 FM (Kauai's visitor radio) and read Kauai Stories (on the bookshelf). Both are awesome. They'll get your head in the right place if it isn't already!”
